Our Photovoltaic Panels Mounting System is simple, practical, easy to be installed and made to measure.
The Omniablok system has been designed to facilitate and speed up the laying, mounting and fitting of the photovoltaic panels that make up the entire solar plant.
Each Omniablok photovoltaic panel structure is conceived on a case-by-case basis, designed and produced by Omnia Spatial Structures staff.
The grids that compose our patented mounting and fitting system are cut to size according to the dimension of the panel used and each contract is integrated with the necessary mounting hardware.
The installation of the Omniablok structures is quick and easy, that's why we ship in Italy and all over the world and we attach mounting instructions to the solar panel assembly kit.
To install Omniablok structures, only a cordless screwdriver with Allen wrench inserts or a fixed spanner are needed, since all the screws are hexagonal hollow-headed. For sloping roofs, on the other hand, a drill and some chemical anchor for fastening on the ridge point are necessary for the installation.
The Omniablok structure can be installed on any type of flat or sloped roof without the need to drill the roofing.
For single-pitched roofs the only fastening of the structure is at the ridge point and is intended to prevent the Omniablok structure from slipping; while on the roof in shingles, tiles, sheath or metal sheet the structure is only supported and resists the action of wind thanks to the overall connection of the grids.
The Omniablok aluminum casting, clamped with a single central screw, encloses and constrains the grids and acts as a fastening point for the photovoltaic panels. The M16 central screw, certified and of the Omnia brand, has a 6 mm diameter threaded hole in its upper part, so that the M6 locking screw for the panel lock washer can be screwed inside.
For double-pitch roofs, the same installation technique as the single-pitched ones is applied, with a few exceptions.
For larger installations, anchoring is not necessary at the ridge point as the structure is completely resting on the roof, without drilling, and is balanced by the opposition of the weight of the two structures, connected in the middle by flat 70x5 galvanised brackets.
For flat roofs the Omniablok structure is always fully connected and axled in support on the roof, without drilling it. It can be sloped from 5 to 30 degrees according to the circumstances. It does not require ballast, except in some cases of strong exposure to atmospheric agents. The ballast of the structure is accomplished by inserting a solid-rod with a diameter of 40 mm inside the grids; in this way it increases the weight of the structure where necessary, but visually it does not change anything and does not increase the volume of the material.
Omniablok structures, compared to traditional solar panel fastening systems, guarantee a long life-span.
The grids are made from internally and externally galvanised 3 mm thick steel pipes, basically they are eternal. The material that could be considered less durable is the Omniablok, which is an aluminum alloy casting. For this reason we performed some tests on the Omniablok node.
Some samples underwent salt spray tests, an examination to check the resistance of a material against corrosion. In this way aluminum deteriorates. At this point, breaking tests were performed on the samples.
The results show that the Omniablok that has just come out of the factory yields a breaking load of 44 kN (almost 4,500 kg), while the Omniablok aged in salt spray from 300 to 1000 hours breaks permanently at around 33 kN (more than 3.300 kg), determining a decreasing curve but stopping at a threshold more than sufficient for applications of aluminum casting, which will never undergo, even remotely, a load of this size.
Thanks to the extremely positive results of the tests mentioned above, which confirm the quality of the materials used by Omnia Spatial Structures in each application, we have established a guarantee of the Omniablok structures for 20 years.
The warranty, including the certificates of the tests, can be downloaded below, together with the products data sheet, the installation instructions for flat and sloped roofs, as well as the Omniablok catalog of Omnia Spatial Structures.
